Love Is In the Air

All you need is love. But a little chocolate now and then doesn’t hurt.

—Charles M. Schulz

Mom and I (and Snoopy of Charlie Brown fame) wish You a Happy Valentine’s Day.

You are Our Special Valentine!

Happy Heart Time!

Duff here. Valentine’s Day is on the way, with emphasis on Chocolates and flowers. Mushy songs of Love and Romance are broadcast everywhere. Folks walk into stores and What do they see? Red hearts. Squeezable teddy bears. Cards and treats. Sparkling balloons. All in red and white. I think St. Valentine went overboard when he first began this tradition. Little did He know . . . But He has lived unstuck through the centuries.

This is the time of Open Hearts and thoughtful Gestures. We Canines always have an Open heart, filled with Unconditional Love. If You need a snuggle or a spontaneous Wag of the Tail, We’re Yours. I heard about four young Men at school, away from Home for the first time. They were homesick for Their Pooches, and noticed a Dog next door whose Owner worked long hours. These Enterprising Fellows sent a note asking if They could be Surrogate Dog Walkers and Pet Sitters. The offer was accepted and Poof! Happy Hearts all around. Living unstuck.

How about You? Do You already have a Valentine? Or want to be One? I say: Open Your Heart. Touch the Folks around You. Fill them with Your kindness. That’s living unstuck. #unstuck-living#valentine’s-day

Money will buy you a fine dog, but only love can make it wag its tail.

Happy Mother’s Day

There’s no way to be a perfect mother, and a million ways to be a good one.

—Jill Churchill

Duff here. Mom and I were Chilling Out on the Sofa the other Day. And I started to think about All the Things She does for Me. Feeds me delicious Food. Walks Me. Washes my bedding, of which I have a Lot. Fusses over me if I have the punies. (Even to the point where She’s up all hours of the night, Checking on Me. Yuck!) Living unstuck . . . in one way.

But above All That, She loves Me. All of Me. She thinks I’m the Greatest. She lets me know I’m Smart. And Clever. She tells Me I’m a Handsome Dude. She is proud of Me when I do Well. And comforts Me when Life doesn’t quite go My way.

So I sent a Shot of Love from My Heart to Mom’s. As She sat there, I could see Her begin to perceive the Feeling: the Love, the Happiness, the Joy that She’s My Mom. She Looked at Me and got Tears in her eyes. She gathered Me up and cuddled Me. Heart to heart, We filled each Other up. That’s living unstuck.

Have You ever had an Experience like That? One where You are struck by how Wonderful Your Mom or another Person is? And Words cannot express? I say: Open Your Heart. Send that emotion. It will Multiply far beyond Your Wildest Dreams and fill Both of You with Appreciation, Tenderness and yes . . . Love. Happy Mother’s Day to All Those Mothers out There. Live unstuck. #unstuck-living#happy-mother’s-day#

Loving Yourself

You carry so much love in your heart. Give some to yourself.”

—r.z.

Duff here. It’s the day after Valentine’s Day. Boxes of candy and Pretty Cards are exchanged. Hearts are open and sentiments expressed. But this delightful Feeling doesn’t have to be restricted to One Day Only. I do This every day, for I think it starts with Loving Yourself. That’s living unstuck.

But how to Love Yourself? Here’s what I Do. I accept Myself just as I am. My self talk, such as it is, tends toward the Positive. Sure, there are Times when I Misbehave. But I shake It off and move on, knowing I am A Good Boy. (Mom tells Me that a lot.) Way down deep Inside, I feel Loving toward Myself. That’s living unstuck.

Do You love Yourself? Do You want to? I say: You give so much Love to others. Start heaping it on yourself and watch the Real You unfold. The time and energy spent Doing so will be Handsomely Rewarded. (And You’ll feel better too.) Let Me be one of the First to tell you: I believe In You, just as You are. Live unstuck. #unstuck-living#loving-yourself

Love Others

A dog is the only thing on earth that loves you more than you love yourself.

—Josh Billings

Duff photoDuff again. I open my Heart to a select few people. And it pays enormous dividends. I have a multitude of ways to show love to my Good Friends. When we connect, I am ecstatic to see Them. I bounce around every which way and zip around in a circle. I give them my best Doggy Smile and a few Licks for good measure. I even wrap my paws around a leg. My luxuriant tail wags furiously, for I want there to be no mistake. I love them, and I live unstuck.

I’m here to tell you: I am consistent. I share my unconditional Love with my Friends in ongoing measure. I don’t change, for I love them more than they love Themselves at times. (Do you know some folks don’t like themselves?) But I help them move past that Self Imposed Boundary and feel the many positives inside. Perhaps it’s in my nature. I live unstuck.

How do you express your Love for your Favorite People? When They come into a room, do you stop what you’re doing and look at them with a smile? Do you give them a Hug when they return home from being out and about? I assert: It’s a Good Thing to show your love to others. To greet them with your Heart so they know you connect with Them. I also recommend Consistency in this area. I decided long ago it has a bucketful of rewards. You will too. Live unstuck. #unstuckliving#loveothers
